Firefighters from Audlem have completed a gruelling 300-mile charity bike ride in memory of their former crew manager Steve Fellows.
The crew returned to Audlem on Friday, September 11, after cycling from the village fire station to Jubilee House in Penrith and back.
Their four-day route included a series of demanding climbs, including Hardknott Pass in the Lake District, which is regarded as one of the steepest and most challenging roads in England.

The ride began on Tuesday, September 8, and raised money for The Brain Tumour Charity and Fire Fighters Charity.
Steve, who was a retained crew manager at Audlem Fire Station, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain tumour, in July 2023. He died three months later at the age of 42.
Following his death, colleagues described him as an excellent firefighter and a much-loved member of the Audlem crew.
During the third day of the ride, firefighter Chris Howe shared a video update after completing 229 miles.
Reflecting on the reason behind the challenge, he spoke about the devastating impact of incurable diseases on families and the importance of supporting research into new treatments.
Speaking about his former colleague, Chris said: “I miss Steve. He had a real impact on my life and was just fun to be around.”
Chris added that Steve was highly professional when it came to his work with the fire service and said his memories of his former colleague had strengthened his determination to complete the challenge.
He also encouraged people who had been affected by similar experiences to support the fundraiser, whether by donating or simply sharing details of the ride.
Dan Hodgson, Regional Fundraiser at Fire Fighters Charity, said: "On behalf of everyone at Fire Fighters Charity, I want to thank everyone at Audlem Fire Station who organised or took part in this incredible challenge. It was a powerful example of teamwork, and a very moving tribute.
"The funds raised will make a huge difference, and help us continue to provide lifelong, compassionate care and support to thousands across the fire services community each year."
The crew had raised over £2,800 towards its £4,000 target by Saturday, September 12.
Donations can still be made through the Audlem Fire Station Charity Bike Ride fundraising page.
