Visitors will have the rare chance to climb one of South Cheshire's most recognisable landmarks later this month, with Wybunbury Tower opening to the public for a special evening of guided tours.
The historic tower will welcome visitors on Saturday, 18 July, offering a unique opportunity to climb to the rooftop viewing platform and enjoy spectacular 360-degree views across the Cheshire Plain, the Welsh Hills and beyond.
Tours begin at 5.30pm, with the final tour scheduled for 8pm, although organisers say additional tours may be added if demand is high. Each guided visit lasts around 30 minutes.
The tower, which stands alongside St Chad's Church in the heart of Wybunbury, is one of the village's most distinctive landmarks and offers a perspective of the surrounding countryside that few people get the chance to experience.
Whether you're interested in local history, photography or simply want to see South Cheshire from a different angle, the event promises an unforgettable evening above the treetops.
Entry costs £5 per person, with cash and card payments accepted. Please note that children under the age of eight are not permitted to climb the tower due to the nature of the access.
All money raised will go towards the ongoing care and maintenance of Wybunbury Tower, helping to preserve the historic structure for future generations.
If you've never climbed Wybunbury Tower before, this is a fantastic opportunity to discover one of Cheshire's hidden viewpoints while supporting an important local heritage landmark.
