Police were called to a two-car collision on the A51 at the Boars Head junction, Walgherton, on Wednesday afternoon, prompting an emergency road closure.

At 1.45pm on Wednesday 8 July, officers were called to the incident on London Road, Walgherton. Police attended the scene and found there had been a collision involving a grey BMW X1 and a black Alfa Romeo.

The A51 was temporarily closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and vehicle recovery took place. Motorists were advised to avoid the area until the road was cleared.

There were no reports of any serious injuries, and the scene was cleared by 3pm. The road has since reopened.

Police have not released any further details about the circumstances surrounding the collision.
